I’m part of a stash busting sewalong… so buying more fabric and patterns was
a bad idea completely necessary.
But the stash gods can’t be mad at me… all patterns were $5 at Spotlight! $5 instead of $8 – $30.
They didn’t have the one I really wanted, McCall’s 6574, no of course that one was sold out. They did however have 7 others I scooped up.
Burda 7082 for Mum, she wants me to make this for her in a royal blue or cerise knit. Vogue 8766. Love all the options with this one, I never purchased Vogue patterns before as they start at $21 in NZ and I struggled to find styles that I liked.
M6355. Replacement for M6574. I’ll use the top of the dress and add a circle skirt to replicate it. M6504. It’s so pretty, how could I not resist?
Burda 7141. Ah, Burda Young, my favourite pattern range. I’ll use these next winter to make all sorts of leggings. Floral and sequin are on the list. Simplicity 1688. I love the Cynthia Rowley patterns and this dress was too pretty to pass up. Not sure about the jacket though.
Burda 7232. Sorry for the glare, it was so hot and sunny! I’ve admired this pattern for awhile and finally convinced myself to buy it (I’ve always refrained from buying it.. I don’t know why).
And the week before all fabric was 30% off, how could I not oblige?
A lovely polyester print. So many design options to consider!
A japanese knit in a polka dot print. It says it is 100% polyester but it feels and acts quite like cotton! Again, so many options available.
The free pattern I mentioned is still in the works. I have to find time to photograph it. Next week is my final lot of exams and it is crazy busy! I have a wedding, a shopping/beach trip, work, babysitting, visiting a friend before her big operation and someone is paying me to pay cupcakes for their party! Whewf, no time to sew. Oh but I did win a giveaway! I get to pick one Sewaholic pattern for free. It was a very hard choice between Cambie and the Thurlows, but I choose the Thurlows as I don’t own any shorts patterns!
